Well the majority of popular music these days is crap anyways, with the exception of people like Adele and Amy Winehouse, so of course opera wouldn't be seen in popular music, it's too good for it. But I'm sure you're great at whatever it is you do but before you comment on something like this, do a little research on the genre because opera is neither dead nor close to dying.
