  • this bird shits alcohol!

  • @valbird6 Come on, I'm currious dude! Don't walk away now you chciken! I want to know how you explain elephants returning to the sites were a member of thier herd died! What about water buffilo defending the weak even through they can't even stand?

  • @AKArainkit This is the last that I will be posting on this subject. Having a discussion about whether or not animals have personalities is one of the most ridiculous things I could have imagined wasting my time on. You're not going to change my mind, and I probably won't change yours. Lets both move on. Cheers!

  • @AKArainkit The animals that I have seen approach people "willingly" is to seek out food. They've learned that people are an easy food source = survival. Again, "mourning" is a human emotion that wild animals can't comprehend. At times it may appear that an animal is "mourning" for their young that have died. When they have offspring (survival of their species), their instinct is to protect it and when that doesn't happen, it is confusing for them.

  • @valbird6 No, why will some animals aproch you willingly. That and, elephants, crows and bision have been known to morn for their dead. How dose that work for survivel?

  • @AKArainkit Depends on what you mean by "friendly". "Friendly" is a human characteristic. Wild animals don't go out to coffee with you, they don't get you birthday presents - they don't care. If by "friendly" you are referring to those wild animals in captivity and why they don't attack humans, it's because of training. Wild animals have survival instincts, and one of their survival needs is food, which is how most training is done, with positive reinforcement (food).

  • @valbird6 wait, then why do some animals act friendlier than others?

  • @AKArainkit I disagree, wild animals do not have personalities and I believe it is disrespectful to those wild animals to think or say otherwise. Turkey Vultures are not pets, they don't want to cuddle or play fetch - they want to survive. I believe you are mixing up personalities with behaviors and characteristics.

  • @valbird6 All animals have personalitys. Some are more aggresive than others, some are more friendly. Your mixing up 'personality' and 'instinct'.

  • I love these birds, but I don't like it when they are anthropomorphized. They don't have personalities, they have sets of behaviors and characteristics.
