I'm not doin that to my ps3 just to play games I can get on amazon for about 5 bucks for free. Somehow risking breaking a 300 dollar machine doesn't seem worth it.

@Agret the laser isnt nearly powerful enough to cause any eye damage. you could look directly into it and be fine

You should wait for the disc to stop spinning or always turn your head when picking up the disc. While the disc is spinning the drive laser is active and picking it up can cause damage to your eyes from the invisible laser.

@pablo2by4 Anyone can do it.... but like i state many times, don't do it unless your ps3 is wrecked and you have no warranty. It's a great option if you have more then one PS3 and like messing around with stuff.
