In this video, Betty demonstrates how to make Chicken and Cheese Bow Tie Pasta. This is a luscious chicken and pasta dish that has a tangy cheesy sauce.

Ingredients:

8 ounces bow tie pasta, uncooked
1 pound Velveeta cheese, cubed (You may use any cheese that you like.)
8 ounces sour cream
½ cup milk
2 to 2 ½ cups cooked chicken breast, chopped (I cooked mine in a slow cooker, but any kind of chopped, cooked chicken will work.)

Cook 8 ounces bow tie pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside. In a double boiler, place 1 pound cubed Velveeta cheese, 8 ounces sour cream, and ½ cup milk. Cook until cheese melts, stirring occasionally. Add 2 to 2 ½ cups chopped, cooked chicken and prepared bow tie pasta. Cook and stir, until heated through. Place in a casserole dish and serve immediately. Enjoy!!! --Betty 

  • Does the sour cream make it creamier? Or is it optional if you want the same texture in the dish?

  • @thepurpz yes, the sour cream does make it creamier. If you don't like the taste of sour cream, you may substitute plain yogurt, or at least add a little milk.

  • making this tonight. I bet my little girls will love it!

  • Do you thaw the chicken before putting into the slow cooker? I imagine that you do but wondered if you've ever tried it from frozen.

  • Betty made this last night and came out amazing - the Velveeta cheese cut into cubes melts easily and together with the sour cream gave the dish a really tangy flavor! I served it with spinach leaves (which is what it looked like you had on the table) with Kraft lift raspberry vinaigrette and storebought buttermilk biscuits (until I look up how to make biscuits on your channel.) The only bad thing is that the dish is very rich and sodium heavy so I ate a small portion but it was very good!

  • mmm sounds good i have to write this down and try it!

  • I really want this right now

  • I wish we could get Velveeta cheese here in the UK
