@Cobrawolf They could of but Episode 3 was mainly about the jedi being betrayed by anakin and him transforming to the dark side/vader's suit.

why would they fight against the droids? the emperor is the boss of them and has a remote controll with a button so they can be put down, maybe not really a remote but he can still controll them to let them kill theirselves (in epsiode 2, count dooku makes a sign at the end and the droids stops fighting)
