MOBILE RADIAL WATER TURBINE POWER PLANT

First preliminary video of mobile radial water turbine power plant driven by power of tides (water stream). Radial turbines putted underwater on different depth of water are connected directly with generators located above turbines (out of water).
Every axial turbine with generator is hung on floating platform. On the upper deck of platform (out of water) are located transducers and electric energy goes to electro energetic system through underwater cable which is located on the middle of the platform. Floating platform is anchored to underwater ground with steel ropes to maintain stability and relatively velocity between water and turbine velocity.
Sea stream has continued velocity and flow and gives the uniformly work of turbines without any disturbances. Easy platform and turbine carrier construction gives possibility of cheap production of system and electric energy. Platform with turbines could be put everywhere around the world seas. Maintenance and replace of turbines and parts is possible without stopping the system.
Video show the one type of system with seven radial turbines with diameter of 30 m and the overall dimension of platform would be cca. 200x200x70 m.
Preliminary calculations for this type of system gives the power on each turbine of 300 kW at the water stream speed of 0.5 m/s (1 mph) ; 2.5 MW at the 1 m/s (2 mph) and the 19 MW power at 2 m/s (4 mph). Showed system should give the theoretic overall power of 133 MW at the water stream speed of 4 mph.
Estimated price of research, design and manufacturing of this size of power plant should be about 50 million euros.
