I wasn't over-impressed with the clean tone until he ripped the knobs off! then wow, what a tone and a great player too.

The narrowfields have a sound of their own, and so do the 305 pickups. But I've heard the Custom with a "phase opposed" setting that sounds more like a Strat, don't you think? Oh, and yes, great player.

Nice amp but that backing track is just begging for that fat saturated 80's lead sound with some reverb and delay.
