yuuki and zero were together secretely but then kaname found out about it. So Kaname couldnt stand for this to happen, thinking that zero wasn't good enough for yuuki and would hurt her. Zero knowing all too well that he could possibly kill yuuki, and loving her more than anyone diserves, left only to protect her from himself. But now Yuuki and Zero are both dying on the inside without eachothers love. They are incomplete.
