Uplink on Android: demo 01

Very cool! How did you port it to this platform? Can you also port it to Windows Mobile?

I bought the developer's CD from Introversion and am pretty much just translating the code to Java. No plans to port it to any other platform at this time.

Are you still working on this? How are you planning on handling the missions in which you're required to type things in while under time pressure (names etc)?

I've been abroad until recently, so I plan to resume working on this next week. I am thinking of using a drag gesture for copy and pasting names in those missions.

Just checked, the original game allows for a minimum of 640x480. I think it should be playable at 800x480, depending on how big I need to make the icons so you can easily tap them with a finger.

I have tested this demo on a HTC Wildfire and it does run, but the screen resolution is way too small for the game. So it _runs_ on mobile phones, whether it's playable is another matter.
