Christmas in the Smokies, The final show of 2011

This is a very special recording of "Christmas in the Smokie" Most any fan of the show will know of Scott Self and Arnie Shaw. This is the last time both of these great performers will be in this show at Dollywood. Both did their last shows for the park on December 30th. This is a recording of that event. Scott played the father of the show and also the angel. Scott has been in this show for longer then 20 years. Arnie plays the little girl in the show. While she plays this part she is a lady with a outstanding voice. Both of these Dollywood fan favorites will be so missed from this point on. We wish them all the best in the great things that are in their futures. Thank them on this sight if you have a moment. You will find other recordings on my sight that feature these great talents. I hate to see Scott and Arnie go, but that's the way of the world. We were able to see a couple of other performers in the traditional Scott and Arnie roles the week before Christmas, and I have no doubt that Randall and Jodi, as well as probably some others, will be good replacements.

This just breaks my heart to see them go. I have been coming to Dollywood and watching these two on stage my entire life and it will never be the same without them. They are truly amazing performers.

Thank you Scott and Arnie. You have blessed us so much over the years as you have lifted up Jesus. God's best to you in the future. May you always stay in the center of his will. We have been coming to Dollywood since 2002. The beautiful thing is that Jesus is lifted up everywhere in Dollywood. May the foundations of Dollywood never change! There is no park anywhere like Dollywood. Scott and Arnie we will miss you greatly. You are loved by so many.
