See the gigantic herd surge from the medical center plaza to the Reagan building entrance in hope of a live update. Did they think Michael was going to come moonwalking out of the building alive? See the grieving women sitting on the shoulders of sturdy men. Both hold memorial signs, but only one wears a bikini top. See the white Michael Jackson impersonator who can't dance. See the sad sexy French woman with a sign of her devotion. She learned English just to understand the words of Michaels songs. See the female entertainer from Cincinnati who preaches repentance and adoration of Michael. See the group of fans singing and dancing to Michaels music. See the memorial candles. See the fans that followed Michael around the world. See the press. See the photo opportunities. See the exhibitionists. See the madness. All for the love of Michael, their dear departed dead hero. - The "King of Pop" has died. Michael Jackson is dead at fifty. This was the scene outside UCLA Reagan Medical Center in Westwood, Los Angeles, California on Thursday, June 25, 2009 where Michael Jackson's body was taken in a failed effort to revive him. His fans flocked to the scene where they exhibited their grief, their joy, their love for their fallen hero. As would be expected, the press, both professional and amateur, showed up to record the event. The crowd consisted of several colorful and eccentric personalities eager to share themselves with posterity. POE NOTE: Michael Jackson was a serious fan of Poe. A few years ago, he announced he was going to produce a film bio of Poe starring himself.
