Hiphop is not Baraji. Baraji is not hiphop. Cultural diversity has a funny way of recreating itself in modern art forms. And when unified through music, culture can take a unique perspective.

The social and metaphysical guidelines that frame our lives sometimes skewer out of place and spiral off to create inexplicable and unexpected tangents. These tangents take us on new directions, lead us to new experiences, and ultimately to new creations. DMP is one such entity.

A diverse group of dedicated artists, the Daemang Productions collective possess a unique parallax conceived through foreign childhoods, a New Zealand upbringing, and an immersion in and commitment to the art of hiphop and its future. They have taken the best elements of three cultures and moulded them into 'Baraji'.

More than a style or music genre, Baraji is the outcome of an experience borne of the amalgamation of New Zealand, Korea and Hiphop. DMP have already made their mark whether you knew it or not. They are responsible for the single biggest annual Korean music event in New Zealand, have paid their dues in the New Zealand underground with weekly performances at the Kiss Bar, and their ever growing list of collaborations is a reflection of the diversity of their music.

Having already collaborated with Korean hiphop legends Joosac, OneSon and MC Meta, DMP have recently worked with such locally established artists as West Auckland's 833 label, 4th element, DJ DVS, and Frontlines DJ
4130. Their distinct multicultural perspectives have seen their sound welcomed in places like Seoul, Tokyo and Paris where they have already released two extremely popular singles. The group remains in extremely high demand off shore with the French hiphop scene in particular clamoring for more of this new sound.

DMP currently consist of three brothers, one hiphop diva, two pioneers of Japanese hiphop, and DMP founder Daemang Jang, still in high school. With New Zealand now his home while still retaining his Korean legacy, Daemang saw the combination of cultures as more than
a mere sociological occurrence. It was the birth of something new.And cultural unity in music can take unique cultural perspectives

Cultural intertwining in unique Baraji musicians took the formation and structure of hiphop cultural meanings, experiences different to what is normally
associated with hiphop, hence Baraji,
legendary on the Korean underground scene, Daemang has the birth of something new.

Now, with the release of 'Baraji' imminent, the world stands to discover something truly inspiring. Witness the
creation.
