"Apparently they were involved in real life as well" LOL! The six-year relationship between David Carrdine and Barbara Hershey (aka Barbara Seagull) had to be one of the worst kept secrets in Hollywood. In addition to producing a child named "Free", it led to some torrid on-screen moments (search for "Boxcar Bertha" if you want a sample of their method acting).
