Hi Boris - I dislocated my left patella some three years ago - it still aches a fair bit and generally feels a little week. Would you recommend this medical massage to help reduce the aching or would a different technique be appropriate? Thank you for your ongoing video uploads; they are very informative and helpful! Best wishes, James.

@B0SKE Another link shows my self-“leg and knee” massage and exercise program. Please consult your doctors if all proposed techniques could be applied. Also keep in mind that only orthopedic surgeon can determine whether the full protocol could be applied. But as I am explaining in the video, in order to stimulate the healing process, one can apply lymph drainage technique on operated knee as well as to perform massage on a healthy leg. To be continued...

@B0SKE First of all I’d like to wish you fast and complete post surgical recovery and thank you very much for kind words in regards to my work. At 3:23 of this video you find links to videos, where I am explaining and demonstrating necessity of adequate post surgical rehabilitation. This way it is much easier to offer more extended explanation. Yes, massage therapy, and in some cases, self-massage therapy and exercise program can help you a lot. to be continued...

@vinnybless it is not contraindicated to massage under knee area. just not to apply excessive pressure on lymph nodes located under knee , as well to doublecheck if area free of cystic formation. often baker cyst can be formed under/behind knee . In such a case we should avoid to massage this area. In many cases to massage armpit is a part of protocol, including when we are addressing periarticular fibrous tissues in cases of frozen shoulder.
Best wishes.

Boris, I had a torn meniscus surgery, and as you probably know i have hard time bending my leg my knee feels weird and it hurts. Would massage therapy help me in any way? Thank you. By the way your videos are great, it is easy to notice high level of professionalism!! Good Luck

@B0SKE All this in details I am explaining in these videos. Also let’s keep in mind that knee should be viewed as multi-anatomical component structure, and regardless of what was the target of a surgery: ligaments, tendons, meniscus, etc, or which anatomical component was traumatized more as a result of sprain/strain injury, the entire knee region, including muscular structure, must be addressed.
Best Wishes,
Boris
