Bowling a Good Line and Length

i think its wrong to coach a set length. where you pitch the ball should depend on the type of pitch, age of the ball, type of batsman, conditions, stage of game and most importantly the type of bowler you are. some bowlers have a very low skidy style, some produce massive seam and swing movements and others generate more bounce. the main thing is to teach bowlers is how to recognise which lengths are working and to be able to hit the mark they need consistently.

what country is this guy from? If you bowl there on a club cricket wicket in Australia you'll be lucky to have a 50 bowling average. That length is never gonna be a bowled/lbw threat, and unless you are REALLY quick and have perfect line you're gonna get smashed. You gotta pitch it up, I don't know any quick bowlers who get annoyed when batsman are trying to cover drive.

"smashed throught the covers" yet he plays a straight drive

when i was a little child i bowled the ball 10 centis approxmeitly away from the batting crease

not good and not bad

its not called good length anymore... its just called a leng ball now

i cud probably smash dat ball

If I was the batsman and a quick bowler bowled that length to me, I'd smash him for 6 on my back foot. It would ping off my bat and the bowlers pace plus the power of my swing would send it well on it's way over the rope

@DKLillee355 you want to strengthen your back and shoulders more than anything in your upper body as a quick

That length is... Quite horrible, a good enough batsmen will more then likely rock back and pull it for 4 :|
