A short video of my recently painted Daemon Prince that I'm not really too happy with.
Comments & criticisms welcome.
Thanks.

  • I dont think you should be too disapointed...my personal opinion as to how you could improve the nurgle prince is to lose the yellow horns for a more natural colour, and tone down the yellow on the spiny bits, last thing is the sword...to much green man, i would go for a more rusty beaten look, tge rest of the model looks fantastic though so dnt be too gutted

  • @jasonbeckerleg - Cheers dude. 10.4 on the horns. I'll see if I can touch them up.

  • my god hes fakkn amazing man!!! good job man truely awsome! the armour was insane! could you plz give me some tips on how to paint my wings for my demon prince hes gonna be black so i wonder what colour scheme to do on the wings. im using black legion if it matters :D

  • @angryjayjay - Hey dude.

Thanks for the compliment, & sorry it's taken me a while to get back to you.

Black Legion.... Hmmm. For simplicity & probably just paint the wings black & give them a light drybrush of grey to pick out any high points. It really depends how much effort you wanna put into it.

I haven't done any painting for ages.

  • The ONLY thing I don't like is the horns. Everything else is pretty awesome.

  • @LimmBurger - Cheers for the comment. I have worked out a much better blending technique now, rather than just covering it with a wash.

I'll see if I can get a video up soon.

    :D

  • *nearly throws up* dammit i was eating :(

  • Dude this guy rocks. Needs a little more for the "guts" but overall very nice I believe

  • I'm about to start my own deamon prince, not the easiest of models to be made nurgely but I will give it a shot, post another vid when your done, wanna see the finished product!

  • seriously awesome

  • Before posting constructive criticism, I want to make clear that my main impression of this model is very positive. I'd be very pleased if my Nurgle Daemon Prince will be that good.

Having said that, I'm thinking that Dark Angels green is perhaps a bit dark for highlighting. Highlights should be done with increasingly light colors, I think. However, I feel uncomfortable pointing this out, as you obviously know a lot about painting, and there really aren't any unbreakable rules to this.

  • @RAMBO2BASE thank you man il do that :D i just got me some greenstuff so i can make him a lil cooler too i just hope it dosent matter that i have allready basecoated him, (its the plastic deamon prince)
