Djalu Gurruwiwi made this yidaki in 2005. For many months he has been seasoned to air, before Yalmakany Marawili painted him. This is a superb instrument with a quality of voice that he is described better as "Thunderous". This characteristic is the favorite from Djalu and it is said that she represent the voice of Wititj, the Ancestral Snake that is a main point totem of the clan of Galpu. Decoration of the miny'tji (sacred painting) of the clan Dhudi-Djapu(Yalmakany's mother's)............ these paintings come from her earth and it is as if they were an imprint of the genetic code of the earth.
