  • great man !!! is it an "invention" of Bach? can you give me the title of this piece of music please? thanks

  • @vours1200

"inventions" are for keyboard, so that means they have 2 or 3 voices.

The piece played is extract from the 3d partita for violin solo, and has only one voice.

  • You're playing so effortlessly ( i don't know if this word exists or not:). It's very good musically, too. But i've got one question: why did you play it with four mallets? This is a simple two mallet piece in my opinion.

  • Hello criticism25852. thanks for you comment.

I remember working on the mallet rotations to create line with a "piano sticking like" concept, mixing the hands to create a 3 or 4 notes phrasing.

Not to say this piece reflects that, but I was working Bach in this way.

  • @SmpsnsFan3 dude i think youre wrong!!!!!!!!!!! it is burton.

  • @criticism25852 - because playin with 4 mallets looks better and more impressive lol

  • @infinity182yahoo Its not Burton. This is Traditional Grip. Notice where the outside mallets are placed on the hand. This is the grip Keiko Abe uses. Burton created his grip based on this grip.

  • Burton is probably the most versatile grip in my opinion. Especially if you are "trailing" on vibes or are muting in general. Also, if you need to grab 4 mallets quickly it is the most stable. It makes playing loud effortless without pounding and when playing a huge bass-soprano spread it's easier on the wrists. People have played everything with every grip so it's really up to the artist.

  • Wonderful playing. Oh the patience you must have to handle four mallets. Pianists bang on about their playing, but you can't beat a Bach prelude on a marimba. 20 out of 10. Totally brilliant. When are you coming to Australia. I'd love my students to see you.

  • Absolutely wonderful in every sense of the word.Just fantastic.

  • A rare medium well done. Tip me hat to you, mate

  • You are amazing

  • ahhh... if only my four mallets was as good as yours lol... I just started learning it like last week for 4 :D

  • That's a harpsicord piece... not taking away from your skill and no offense, but it just doesn't move me like it would if played on a harpsicord.
