Dramatic Photographs

So I put together a few of my favorite photos. All these photos had to "speak" in one way or another. Some photos require context to get their full meaning, so here's a list with a small description to help you.

1) The Triangle Shirtwaist
Fire-women were locked in a factory so they couldn't leave, factory burned.

Too much about 9/11, 9/11 is nothing compared to the 60 million lost in WWII...not to mention WWI/vietnamese war/cold war, rwandan genocide!

The point wasn't really to try to symbolize loss through photographs, then certainly Rwanda or WWI would've had a few photographs thrown in there. I just think there were more iconic photographs on 9/11 then for the other events.

Have to be the Tankman and the execution of the Vietcong soldier. But all of yours are really nice, hadn't seen the mourning American soldier before, but that picture had a huge message.

Thanks. I felt the solemn look of the soldier with the tears really contrasted two emotions nicely.

Elie wiesel was NEVER in Auschwitz or Buchenwald. He stole identity of Lazar Wiesel, A-7713 who was born in 1913.

Lazar was in auschwitz and transferred to Buchenwald! Elie Wiesel was born in 1928. He is a fraud .

These are very sad this just shows how the world is. I noticed a lot of these are in the newseum in washington dc.
