No-one did sing-a-long rock n roll like Slade. Britains greatest band after The Beatles.

@podmitry I wonder if they ever thought about absconding to Japan, like Spinal Tap. It always seemed like a place where a worn out band could find fresh fans.

@podmitry Same here, I was born in 94. The Boyz album is hugely underrated - plenty of tracks on offer from strong rockers (Love Is), commercial friendly pop-rock (Friends), ballads (Still The Same), pure fun (Sing Shout), moody rockers (Won't You Rock) - list goes on.

@ajsmith311 They felt exhausted and old. So they created the last one in '87 (damn BEST one!) and left the rock scene with pride and honor. As for me, I feel sorry to have born in '90 and to miss Genesis, Camel and Slade tours, especially the Ukrainian ones (if they happened).

Another gem that slipped by the public back in 1987. Such a shame that after so long, Slade could still produce some catchy material. Here, Slade focus on some light commercial pop-rock - absolutely radio friendly with a great anthemic chorus. Again the single is ignored, mainly because RCA didn't care about Slade, especially at this point. The band were no longer popular and therefore no longer worth promoting.

At 1:45 Jim is "playing" the guitar solo on his bass...hahahahahaha

This is one of Slade's best songs from the late 80's, along with Fools Go Crazy and We Won't Give In. Cheers for posting it!

Well he used his 12 string Ovation quite often on TV performances and promos from around 1983 and onwards, don't know if it was used in studio or not?
