The sale of second-hand clothing, called "mitumba," is widespread in Kenya. But while mitumba may benefit the pocketbooks of many people, especially the poor, critics say it harms the country's domestic textile industry. Cathy Majtenyi reports for VOA from Nairobi.

  • BS,.The textile industry double their exports when the used clothing business helps clean the closets of people who wants to buy more clothes, and the side benefit, the poor get to wear something nice really cheap. something they can afford.

  • Capitalism is such a wasteful, destructive, obsolete system.
