Richard David James (born 18 August 1971), better known by his moniker Aphex Twin, is an electronic musician who has been described as "the most inventive and influential figure in contemporary electronic music". He founded the electronic record label Rephlex Records in 1991 with friend Grant Wilson-Claridge. Aphex Twin is known for covering many different styles and subgenres of electronic music, often times having a different theme with each release.
