At my school, my houses name is the Samurais, should tatlly cosplay a Kenshin for swimming/athletic carnival or something! But gotta make his shirt yellow, since we're in the yellow house.... lol....

@SirRyanScarff kenshin did some pretty crazy shit in the show, yo. when he fought that one douche with the wind-slicing tech? he was literally jumping everywhere. he also straight up jumps on ceilings and whatnot. the jumping off walls was about all they can do realistically, actually.
but yeah, the fight scenes may not be as well thought out as i expected, but meh
My own personal opinion. Watching the amv's and the tv series, Kenshin was much more serious and methodical in his fighting style. Even if the enemies head went through the roof, the way it was performed was simple, professional killer style. Having him flip from a wall with so many others around, just seem's wrong to me. Perhapes im asking to much of a live action, just my personal opinion. PS: How different is the last samurai from kenshin?? intersting thought.

@SirRyanScarff I totally understand what you mean. I hope it's not some Bruce Lee ripoff with alot of jumping and screaming, haha! But I read in a interview somewhere where Takeru Satoh (who plays kenshin) said that that they did their best to avoid using CG excessively but paid much attention to the action scenes nonetheless since they are aware that these are important to the adaptation. Even so, this just a teaser and I'm sure they've made alot of improvement after this :)

Id rather any movie connected to Samurai X look more like 'The last samurai' then a jackie chan movie referencing to jackie chan meaning speedy and complicated action squences, not a bad thing, but certinaly not kenshin. The trailer looks more like a series of action sequences rather then a story about a killer, just the way they handle the action sequences. In the anime every 'action scene' was an event and ment something and was vivid. This trailer is a jumble of action scenes

@SirRyanScarff It would certainly be very positive if the movie is more connected to "The Last Samurai" kind of style. Personally I think the movie is awesome and the mood of it would suit the upcoming Rurouni Kenshin movie perfectly if they had chosen to focus more on his slasher days as a Hitokiri, since it got that dark feeling to it. But it seems to me that the main focus of the movie will be from the beginning of the manga, from when he meets Kaoru, and not so much his past.

Huh. Looks good. I like that they're doing a live action version of Samurai X instead of trying to copy the slapstick humor that Rurouni Kenshin used. That being said, some of the villains still look like they are doing their best to be cartoons.

@Inuyashagirl234 Haha, I agree! I hope they wont use the anime humor in this movie, that would be terrible! I also hope, as you mention, that the actors wont focus that much on being exactly like the cartoons in the anime. Characteristics yes, but this is supposed to be a live action movie and not a anime ripoff, so it has to look and feel natural.
