Awesome in Horsham indeed.

The very end of it.

The last song of the last gig.

So naturally The Gits bring in a guest singer and play with a drummer for the first time at the erstwhile sports centre in Horsham Park.

A song described by the cover shepherd of their last cassette album as 'music to cut wrists by' here stands as a fitting tribute to those prime purveyors of pure pop for pop people.

(Please turn over for Part Two)

  • whats the deal with this band? they're not The Gits.

  • The American band weren't known in Britain at the time we started, 1987, and in fact we'd packed it in before we came across them. It's not something we can change now so that's why I always stick the UK in brackets after the name.

I gather there's been at least two of three other bands also called the Gits. In the days before the internet the chances of knowing there was a clash of names was a lot slimmer.
