  • I'm not an instructor only commenting - 1st on below comment, the shots are not disconnected really. Anyway one added something to ponder and keep in mind for editing is like with all the great stories on a screen, great editing should go un-noticed - until you come to think of it later for some reason - as in being amazed by the movie. Keep your eyes and ears on the story line with each aspect of what you do to create the desired impact for the scene and the story. u can make it or break it.

  • thank you for this educational video. I have a question, though, as I'm new to this: wouldn't cross cutting qualify as montage, since it combines two (spatially) disconnected shots which are supposed to produce a greater idea out of their juxtaposition?

  • Thanks!

  • You should analyse more films. please.

  • This is fantastic, thank you very much. I'm a senior in high school doing my graduation project on Film Editing being the art of story telling. I have to give an hour long presentation. This is very helpful, thank you very much.
