Excellent. Getting suspended from school for technical badness is the sign of a future career in engineering.

@TheErikFasterling he can't he burned off the resistor
-
can you re-use it??

when all else fails, and you can't figure out how to identify color bands, add and multiply etc...
you can always use a multimeter.
you need to ohm it anyway to make sure it is within tolerance before you use it.
SOME people actually use them in circuits where they need to work as intended.

@nollydolly99 it's dubbel black. look at the colors at the resistor

too bad the many new resistors are designed to burn open circuit, so they dont work as ignitors...

@frosty956 I've tried a few different brands of quarter watt carbon film resistors and they all work. They do go open circuit, but get white hot and emit flames in the process. You can't just keep re-using them, you need a new one each time.

@nollydolly99 ten ohm actually.

@bigclivedotcom 10?
brown = 1
black = 0
and as i see it it's brown black black =1 0 0
or is it like 10,0?

@nollydolly99 The third band is the multiplier (the number of zeros.) Black is none, brown is one zero, red is two zeros, etc.
