  • Way to completely misinterpret Murrow's statements. Beck is the newest McCarthy. Murrow would fight his every word. This is just Beck trying to get America to believe that another great man was actually on his side. And he must do this through obscured quotes and context.

  • @MothsInALampshade You use typical Marxist character assassination tactics described by Yuri Bezmonov. Namecall, lampoon, belittle, and utilize bogus moral equivalencies, but you would never have a Lincoln-Douglas style debate with someone like Beck because you would get spanked. Beck posted his sources in every book and after every days show and would have them checked by university academics for accuracy.

You could not win an honest debate on your best day and I suspect you well know it.

  • you sully Edward R. Murrow's name by comparing him to Glenn Beck. If you wish to see a more accurate comparison in history, choose McCarthy. Both use lies and dirty tactics to further their filthy demagoguery to unintelligent and uneducated masses. Both use fear to influence their own people. Both are terrorists.

  • oh no! I watch this, and it's an advertisement for Glenn Beck?? Mr. Beck, I do believe if Mr. Murrow was around today, he would tear your credibility to shreds. Obviously, you missed the point of all his writings, speeches, and beliefs. He warned about demigods such as yourself on television. Shame Shame Shame on you for connecting your name to his.

  • Beck sucks, though in this case he's right: the growth of the government is a direct affront to liberty. Back in the day you needed a constitutional amendment to prohibit someone from using a substance, ethanol, today you need only an act of congress and billions to pay for it. We now have regulation on everything business, entertainment, and creativity might seek one to accomplish, and the consumer suffers the reduced choices and higher costs before even having to pay via taxes to sustain it.

  • @trikoification Murrow would be honored to be compared to Beck.

  • @MothsInALampshade Yes, but history has shown that McCarthy was right.

  • @TalkerOne Yes, because your cut-and-paste responses will surely win people over to your side.

  • mccarthey was proven right, records found in the old soviet union and KBG showed there were spies, traitors in the US

  • @yojoe1221 Murrow was part of the problem. It was to his benefit to use the bully mic to proclaim that Stalin's purges were non-existent. They were. Stalin made Hitler look like a lightweight, and Murrow was his useful idiot. Communist sympathizers are in the White House as I write.

  • Glenn Beck... you know NOTHING about investigative reporting. You and your FOX News Bigots are careless with all facts. Murrow and his Boys were top newsmen for CBS. What the hell??

  • How dare Glenn Beck even ask to be in the same country with a video of Edward R Murrow!! Beck is as close to a Nazi as anyone has been since Goebbels, Himmler or Heydrich!!

Mr Beck, you are lower than amphibian droppings! How dare you in any way compare yourself to Edward R Murrow!!

  • @TalkerOne Why are you using Marxist as an insult? MothsInALampshade is completely right - Murrow fought McCarthy's methods of bullying anyone who opposed him out of his way. Senator McCarthy had very little grounds for much of what he did, and mainly worked by spreading fear and suspicion, a method which you seem to have adopted... Perhaps Beck is not a modern-day McCarthy, but he is most certainly nothing like Murrow, who exposed McCarthy for what he was.
