Video press release detailing mechanics of the grid attack we initiated at 9pm EST on this day.

Greetings, we are DiSSENTiON. On today, April 24th at exactly 9pm eastern standard time, we have initiated an unprecedented grid wide attack on the virtual world of Second Life. We are merely demonstrating out capabilities in response to Linden Lab's silence. This attack is small in scale compared to those that will follow. In over 2000 sims across the grid our bots have strategically placed self replicating weapons that upon activation will spam links to Copybot while exploiting a vulnerability in the instant message system that will affect residents for days or even weeks to come. We are DiSSENTiON. You have heard our voice and now you will heed our call. We hereby declare war on Linden Lab, Second Life, and anybody who defends them.

Mistaken, we wrote them and they spread far faster and much better than anything the PN had while also defeating the grey goo fence and slowly filling sims and crashing them.

Additionally they have payloads that overload communications systems and attack the asset servers so that if admins fail to find and blacklist them within the first 25 minutes they cause gridwide problems making people unable to teleport or rez objects typically resulting in a blog entry. The code is far cleaner as well.

Oh and they exploit a vulnerability in the IM system causing messages sent to targets to get stuck in queue spamming them repeatedly long after the 'offending' account was banned. As Montana Faggotrone would say, Thank you for playing;)
