Magistral

In all humility, and with all due deference to the people who tried to teach me how to play the piano in the classical way, I heard what he was doing with the Rolling Stones in particular and realised that cometh the hour cometh the maestro. He was simply brilliant and is in my opinion deserving of so much more recognition than the likes of Barlow, even Elton and their ilk.

Wow I had never heard this guy before but I had recently started creating songs that sound so familiar to this sound. I guess that music really does echo! Truly..

@Rabbit1Lee good song but I believe it played to fast /I remember it a tiny bit slower but great job anyway
Listen to his playing on Exile on Main Street by the Stones !! His piano on Rip This Joint surely has to be the greatest boogie woogie piano thats ever, EVER been played. Nicky & Ian Stewart...THE greatest piano players of all time : )

Great post. Thanks for sharing. I'm sure most people would be amazed how many tracks that the late, great Nicky Hopkins played on.
