This is the last tune of his 1978 Dread Beat An' Blood album, produced by Dennis Bovell. You can really hear the fire in his belly on this one. I've not heard him sound so fierce and passionate on other songs as he is on this. Massive tune recorded a couple years before the brixton riots, amongst other such events at that time, and really captures the feeling of the time that lead to their eruption.

i'm wit taylor... i remember the 12' POET/ROOTS 5 nights of bleedin... bought at the tiny little virgin store on frederick street in edinburgh, the second virgin store anywhere... ahhh, dem memories... that was some seriously hard dub!!!

Now if someone would only upload the dubs off the Poet and The Roots Virgin 12' inch! I haven't heard them in years but they were among the hardest and grittiest dubs ever made.
