  • Ya gotta love that bravado rivalry between two of the only American groups to occupy space in the top 10 every week, despite the British invaders clogging up the airtime.Sure, the Temps, Supremes, Jay&Americans also competed well, but the "Seasons" and the "Boys" ruled!

  • I have been searching for this song since 1964 !! I used to Surf at Newquay in those early days... Love Franckie Valley and Four Seasons and this sad song has been lost in time... wonderful UTUBE

  • hAs anyone heard that they'r going to make a movie of that rip off musical Jersey boys?

  • Please check out the British cover of this song by Candy Choir on YouTube.

  • God bless U tube I haven't heard this song in 37 years.

  • I forget what flip side this was on,I'd have to check ,But it is on their "Born To Wander " LP. Still Sound's Great after All this time. Thanks.

  • @someone481 It was only a friendly rivalry. They loved each other's music! Bob Gaudio, the song-writer of the group, said he was very much inspired by Brian Wilson's own songwriting!

  • @Claretsdoowop ........i remember.......b side of dawn

  • @ClydetheCamel99 The Beach Boys and The Four Seasons are my 2 favorite groups, it kinda sucks that they had a rivalry.

  • Wow does this bring me back.

  • welll,i just listened to surfers rule and ,i believe that ending was directly sent as a message to the seasons that there were 2 kids on the block, not one.my question is,did gaudio or valli know the bb personally at this point in there careers, and if so,was it in fun or a reminder to a cross coast competitor?anybody really know?

  • thebigfist. I loved the Four Seasons and still do. But I grew up in musical tastes. I wouldn't call the Beatles, Kinks and Stones as air wave cloggers. Brian Wilson was, in my estimation, better than the Beatles in musical ideas and he was far more talented than the song writer for the Four Seasons. That doesn't mean I don't appreciate Bob Crewe and his musical legacy. Just get real in your zeal, dude or dudess. Now, where can you put that big fist of yours? In your mouth or up your . . . .?
