From the Newberry Consort's performance at the 2008 Madison Early Music Festival, Handel's "Se nel Bosco" from "Ariadne in Creta". Ellen Hargis, soprano soloist, is joined by Marion Verbruggen, recorder, and David Schrader, harpsichord. The Newberry Consort was in residence at the Madison Festival, and performed a concert of the music of Handel on July 12, 2008.
Marion is so great! How can a person be so great on recorder!

I love Ellen Hargis' singing and the playing of Marian Verbruggen. But I must say that the soprano recorder simply does NOT go well with a soprano voice. They truly clash.

Marion is such a legend of the recorder. She is simply astonishing, the things she can do.
