wow i llove your axols colours, theyre beautifull!, what do you feed them, and how often if you dont mind me asking.. im always looking for new ideas and opinions.

@timgautrey - well they can and do sometimes leave the larval stage for adulthood but it is very very rare and would probably be worth quite a bit. you should make a video cutting off ones leg, its not like it wont grow back. just kidding that would probably bring much hatemail

Cute axolotls. I just got new ones too! My first! I had a couple goldfish in with my first axolotl when it was cleaning the tank, and the axolotl ate it! They bite at anything that moves and is smaller than them. They have poor eyesight though.

They are a variant of the salamander family, closely related to the Tiger salamander. The difference with these is that they don't morph into air-breathers in adulthood as salamanders do!

They prefer live foods such as earth worms, brine shrimp and rag worms, but will happily eat strips of ham and lean meats, veggies and catfish pellets.
