Oooh. I had missed this one. Actually, trolling has nothing to do with science, just malicious and pointless comments made to elicit a response, or annoy people with no real purpose. Trolling is a form of intellectual vandalism, and is, frankly, pointless and more than a little immature.

  • This is awesome!!! I see a lot of people posting negative comments but as a teacher looking for ways to get my students more energized and excited about what they are learning....I can't wait to start! Trust me, those students are LOVING what they are doing. And they will remember the concepts they are learning way more than of they were sitting silently with hands still and eyes on the teacher (aka daydreaming). Awesome job!!

  • @philnoll

Hmmm, kids talking about the terrible problem of illiteracy. They are demonstrating how to combat the falling interest many students exhibit in reading.

Again, your remark does not make sense as is. Do you have a question or an additional comment of some sort? Are you a teacher, or just spamming without a purpose?

  • @RaoYiLan How do You Know?

I know Chris Rekstad personally. In the first place he is one of the least offensive teachers I have ever met, and he is very sensitive to the needs and feelings of his students. To anyone who actually has a sense of humor this is not offensive. The intent, joking with his students, is patently obvious. It certainly appears obvious to other teachers, per their comments below. Lastly, Chris has talked about the experience of filming this with his kids. They loved it.

This is a case of a teacher having a sense of humor, and his students being completely in on the jike and finding it funny. The students understood what he was doing, and were playing along. They think the video is hilarious. Would you not want your child to be in a classroom where the students and teacher had a sense of humor, and were having fun together.

  • Chris Biffle is an AMAZING teacher! I had him for an introductory philosophy class at Crafton Hills College several years ago and I STILL remember what I learned because of his teaching methods!
