  • We went on an organized trip. Most of the tourist watch the orcas from a boat, because the water temprature is around 2 - 4 C. There are a number of companies that arrange tours in Lofoten Norway. Unfortunately there are very few orcas comming in to the fjords due to new huntingpatterns. So the chanses of seeing orcas are slim, but it the trip is still worth it for the awsome scenery.

  • Wow, this is in norway? I know what i want for my birthday!

  • Its in Norway. I can definitely recommend It

  • Stilig! så heldig du er:D Dette var vel om vinteren?:)

  • Det var i begynnelsen av november. Det ble mange timer med venting, men det var helt klart verdt det.

  • @blueshadoe - I was 11yrs old when I started diving. Best experiences of my life. Dove with Sharks in the Bahamas.. and will one day dive with Orcas. Do what you love. Don't let fear stand in the way. You'll never know till you try! You can even dive just in the pool at the Dive Shops.. Get some info and get your dad more involved. Sounds like he isn't educated enough about diving.. help him out! Maybe he'll love it too! :)

  • Great to see you swim between them!

The chances to see them in summer are increasing. They have been spotted in 2010 and 2011 in Vestfjord and in front of the coast of Vesteralen and Lofoten.

You can read the blog of Arctic Whale Tours and see the pictures of this, and last year on freemorgan.nl

  • @beautifulstar33 Yeah, I've always wanted to, but thanks ^-^

  • @blueshadoe oh well, maybe you can find some common ground with marine biology and banking, like a double major or something. why not dive with orcas when you're an adult?

  • @beautifulstar33 And, the reason why I don't dive with them is because, one, I'm 12. Two, my dad thinks I'm crazy for wanting to dive with them, he wants me to be a banker -.-... And three, although I adore the ocean and its creatures, I don't think I'm ready to dive yet, because I always get scared when I touch seaweed, or a rock, things like that. Typical fears, I suppose, but not good ones for someone who wants to be a marine biologist. ^-^"

  • @blueshadoe Then why do scientists say sharks don't really eat humans, if sharks will eat anything? Do you think orcas are playful?

  • Awesome! Weren't you afraid he was going to eat you?
