He had a point, so I got up too and fixed my hair and sweater before walking out of the room. "I wonder what they have planned for me?"

**Aly's POV**
"Took you long enough! I was just about to force you to come!"
Sara: *shakes her head* I know. That's why I came out.
I just grabbed the bandana and tied it around her eyes.
Sara: HEY!
Joe: *takes her hand* don't worry.
And that worked. Thank god I already told him exactly what I was planning. I doubt she'd have been so okay with being blindfolded if he wasn't there. Kat hopped in the drivers seat and got us there quickly. Hoping that Sara wouldn't peak, I had Joe lead her inside. I glanced around at the decorations one more time before accepting that they were the best they were going to get. I switched the lights off and Joe took off the blindfold.
Sara: I can't see anything still.
Joe: *chuckles*
Sara: Joe? What's going on? Is this some kind of joke?
That's when I hit the lights. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY SARA!" Everybody in the room shouted. She stumbled backwards and then started cracking up as she scanned the room.
Sara: *beaming* You guys didn't need to go to all this trouble!
"Too late!" I sang as I grabbed her arm and dragged her forward. "Cake first! Presents after. And Party later!" I giggled.
Sara: Oh. My. God.
She had caught sight of the cake. "I made it myself!" I squealed happily. It was kind of cheesy, but I made a giant party hat. There were 7 layers to it and then the candles were on top instead of those weird streamer things on the top of normal party hats. Each layer was a different flavor, ranging from chocolate or vanilla to strawberry and mango! The icing had been made to match the flavor of cake that it was decorating and I had added sprinkles because I knew how Sara loved them.
Sara: Oh, Aly, it's beautiful!
She hugged me and then, after a chorus of 'Happy Birthday' she blew the candles out. Everybody surged forward as Sara started cutting the cake. After tasting every layer at least twice, everybody finally decided they had eaten enough. Then the presents were brought out. I made Sara sit in a throne chair, even though she protested. "Come on Sara. It's your 18th birthday. You don't really have a say in this" I stuck my tongue out at her and she plopped into the chair. She kept squealing with happiness as she opened each present, occasionally saying words.
Sara: Ohhhhh Bridgitte! I needed a new bracelet! *gasps* Rachel! You shouldn't have! 2 tickets for a trip to hawaii?? Awww! Shannon! Thanks! I remember when this picture was taken. *opens the scrapbook* You decorated the whole thing yourself? Thanks!
And on and on. Until there were finally no more presents to give. "Come on Rachel, Bri and Shannon!" I hurried them onto the stage with me as Kat grabbed her guitar. Bridgitte took her place behind the keyboard and I sat behind the drums. Rachel and Shannon both grabbed their microphones. Oh.... did I forget to mention that we were in a garage band together?
Joe grabbed Sara out of her throne the moment out song started and dragged her to the dance floor. I could see the look of complete terror as the spotlight was turned on her. She, for some reason, thought she couldn't dance. Well, it was a total blast anyway. Joe finally got Sara to have some fun and then we turned the music over to a DJ and everybody got out on the dance floor for what was about to be the best birthday bash ever. But... nothing ever turns out the way you expect it... does it? Somebody screeched in fear. And I recognized her voice.....
Nick: ALY!
My heart froze and then started hammering my ribs. My insides had turned completely to ice as I found her. Almost as if in slow motion, I started running. "NO!" The cry was torn from my lips and everything seemed to unfreeze. The guests were screaming and the music had stopped. But nothing existed for me except for the figure now slumping down the wall. "SARA!" I fell to the floor.
Sara: *groans* Joe.....
"Sara! What happened!?" I cried as the crows started to converge into a circle.
Sara: Abby....
Bridgitte: Where's Kat?
Shannon: There! *points out the door*
Bridgitte: Is that.....
Shannon: Oh god.
Sara: Get him back for me *passes out*
Oh my god. What an awful birthday! But, I abided her wish and leaped to my feet. Nick was by my side in an instant. He knew exactly where I was at all times and was rarely a moment too late when I needed him. His fingers laced through mine as we started chasing the tiny speck of red that was Kat's hair. Thank god she was so easy to track. Hopefully she wouldn't loose Abby. We had to save Joe. It was Sara's birthday!
Nick: Aly! That way! *drags me to the right*
I froze. It was a dead end. There was Abby. And Joe.

it was sara's surprise party, but abby came and took joe away because she's a crazy stalker ex that wants him back. and then everyone was frantically trying to find her to get joe back. that hepl a little?
