  • Breathtaking! I saw her perform on the stage of the old Met Opera House a few

times and it was always a great experience.

  • Only one Renata!!!!!

  • Well, the flute has a good trill!

  • Yes, she is really superb. The beauty of the vocal line, the legato, phrasing, even the higher notes, all admirable. BUT, she doesn't have a trill, and you MUST have a trill for this aria. The best recording ever, BY FAR, remains Callas with Serafin in 1954. Listen to them side by side and you will understand. The Callas rendition is simply incomparable, not only perfectly polished technically but also in dramatic interpretation.

  • @JasminaH79 I agree

  • the best version of this aria ever

  • I agree with everyone above. Heavenly singing. Not just the most beautiful voice ever, but dramatic, full of changes of mood. And yes, you always sense this great and loving soul behind her voice, which I think is what inspired us to love her so much.

  • Solti is a world-renowned conductor.
