@JuiceBoxLoveX the firends you have now from when you started to get C, and have stayed your friend this whole time and still are, those are true friends , I lost friends to my N+C when it first started happening. I may have lost some , but over the years I gained more and still have friends I went to school with still hang out and have fun to this day. :) living with N+C or just C does show you alot and helps you really learn a lot of things about our minds and body's

LOL I have this, but just cataplexy. My finace loves to trigger mine when his friends are over. But now that I'm older I can control it and it only really hits me when I'm really tired.
My friends freakout the first time it happens .

I ove how you wake up with that smirk, lol. I get cataplexy symptoms from fear and things like that... Sometimes laughing too hard, getting super mad, mostly sudden onset fear though and it's caused by my POTs. I'll pass out cold, lol.
thank you for the awesome example of cataplexy! I just really want to know what was so funny now. It must have been awesome. :) I have cataplexy from fear, losing too much sleep, and once flat out in Wal-Mart. I blame Wal-Mart.

@spessoney Honestly I don't remember what we were laughing about, I think we just got the giggles and then he kept saying "I'm dying" and it was just such a funny wrong thing to say when you know you're about to have a paralysis attack that makes it look to other people like you're dead, especially when the general public is so quick to call 911 or try CPR on a narcoleptic!

I also have N/C but there is no way I can laugh like that before a cataplexy attack.

@daud8472 Xyrem gives cataplectic narcoleptics a lot more emotional wiggle room to work with before an amotion is just too strong and a C attack happens
