  • Glo Thorogood?!?

I see her at every Thunderbirds convention I go to. I am a member of Fanderson too!!

    WOW!!

Those people bid alot for those!!!

  • Glo is great. She was at the Barry Gray concert last night & brought Virgil along in a Tuxedo. She was letting the children shake hands with him as she was controlling him. The concert itself was brilliant.

  • Why didn't they get a reporter who knew enough about Gerry and Sylvia's work to have heard of The Secret Service. And someone who knows the difference between Marina and Lady Penelope. But this is still incredible to see. Can't believe they were talking to a toy expert. Those puppets are more than toys! Thanks for posting.

  • I doubt any staff reporter would have even heard of the SS, even now. Its an obscure series only fans would know about. To give credit to the reporter, she did a good job as the original footage went out live. This is just a cut down of it that was repeated in the evening. I agree about the toy expert, why sell them under the Toys & Dolls section? I have thought they would be under the TV & Film category. Maybe Phillips didn't have one at the time?

  • It makes me a little upset that the models were sold, but I am glad that the people who purchased them are collecters who i'm sure have taken the greatest of care in them....

  • I could have sworn.......just at the end.........Marina gave the audience the finger!

  • I hope they have it on amazon of this

  • you went to the concert

  • so am i

  • Fantastic to see this. I went to the auction and was lucky enough to come away with a few bits and pieces. I just wonder where the majority of the heads went, as most of them haven't re-appeared at any conventions. It would be terrible if they were just sitting in a cupboard somewhere.

  • A man who looks something like a vicar? It just happens to be Father Stanley Unwin from the classic show The Secret Service. When reporters are sent out on jobs why don't they do a little research beforehand? Ignoramus! They aren't toys - they're sophisticated puppets.

  • Be interesting to know which Penelope we're seeing here. They made two standard expression heads for the series, as with all main character heads - one of which was always better than the other. Then a third Penelope was made for the film - I don't think that's the one we're seeing here. Preposterous that they were being sold as toys.
