Idolizing the Cross - The Teachings of Paul

Yehshua taught the Truth of the Cross in

Matthew 10:38 And he who does not take up his cross and follow Me is not worthy of Me.

Matthew 16:24 Then Yehshua said to His disciples, If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow Me.




Saul taught a lie which buts the focus on the cross and not the Risen Mesiah:

(1 Corinthians 1:17)
For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel; not in wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of no effect.

(1 Corinthians 1:18)
For the preaching of the cross is foolishness to those being lost, but to us being saved, it is the power of God.

(Galatians 5:11)
And I, brothers, if I yet proclaim circumcision, why am I still persecuted? Then the offense of the Cross has ceased.

blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and has taken it out of the way, nailing it to the cross.

Your statement shows that the cross is being idolized because you never received anything form the cross. Scripture tells us that you receive sight and the renewing of the heart through repentance and turning to and abiding in Yehshua the Messiah. Please friend, give glory to the Heavenly Father by giving proper testimony to salvation in Yehshua not the cross or some murder device.

I need to address Paul. Here's a guy that went from violently opposing Christians to starting churches all over the Roman empire. Since he was "false" were his churches false as well? John later wrote to those churches in Revelation, so I suppose John is false as well? And then all those martyrs who came from the churches Paul started... Guess they died for nothing? Better toss out Luke, Paul's companion as well then. No record of him being opposed by the other apostles? Repent Live. Shame on ya

Yes the "churches" Paul founded were false that is why the 7 he wrote to are not the 7 that Yehshua told John to write to. John is not false he walked with Yehshua and had the promise of the Holy Spirit (John 14:26). Luke and Paul never walked with Yehshua they were not Apostles according to Yehshua in Mathew 19:28 & 10:2. Paul's message is totally different from Yehshua's.

Please don't misunderstand me... I saw the word witness used there... I am certainly not a Jahovahs Witness, nor am I catholic or protestant, or anything else. I used to be a mainline protestant, but now I am just a guy with my Bible. I believe we are in the great apostasy period, and that deceit is rampant in the churches, so it's just me and my Bible now. = )

Christ said love your enemies. The cross is Christ doing the thing He told us to do. He suffered through the shame, humiliation, and violence, and continued showing His love to us right up to the moment we killed Him. He even pleaded for us saying, "Father forgive them..." To follow Him is to take up that same Cross and love our enemies with His love in us, even if they kill us. The early Christians did this. Not enter politics, not legislate morality, but be witnesses.

Many that lack indepth understanding fail to see how Paul not only taught Torah but did it n such a way that he could shine forth unto the gentiles. Paul never taught againt Torah (Acts. 25:8;28:7) and neither did Yeshua. Those who would like to throw out need for atonement and claim to be as righteous as Messiah would naturally disagree. They follow their own puffed up minds and traditions of men rather than The Word. Discusting perversion, perhaps they do so out of lack of knowledge

@Revelation6v8In 1973, some ossuaries were found in a first century cave near Bethany. These ossuaries had etched on them various Greek and Jewish names. Many of these names are also found in the New Testament, and some of the ossuaries were etched with crosses, which probably indicates that the bones in them were of people who had been Chrstians.

The first century Christians didn't regard the cross as a 'pagan idol' or they wouldn't have etched it on the ossuaries would they?

When you talk to a Mormon or a Jehova Wittness they will tell you what they read from their book is the truth because the founders of their organization but it together and made it that way. The Bible was put together by the Catholic church. The true scriptures are in the Bible and are clearly different than the lies found in it.
