This is the fifth part of my video series on learning Hindi-focusing on writing and reading. This sub-part (a) has the consonants of Hindi getting combined with the vowels, using diacritics, and with other consonants, using "half-consonants" in its writing system (devanagari script). It is concluded in part 5 (b). Please watch the entire parts 4a to 4b on devanagari script before this part.

  • ranjan do u know about "platu " swar?...ye aise swar hote hain jinhe teen samay tak bolna hota hai...kehne ka arth hai jaise "e" main agar "x" time lagta hai toh ee main "2x" lagta hai....nw we will have eee..isse kaise likhenge?...idea hai?...just trying to show extreme phonetic nature of hindi

  • Platu is recognized by some Sanskrit grammarians, not all. It exists only in Sanskrit and not in Hindi. I don't know how to write it in devanagari alphabet.

  • Sorry for writing so many comments, but I`m going through every part, and with the way you are presenting this, with a bit of effort and revision I could be reading full Hindi texts (at least phonetically, vocab is next!) within a couple of weeks. There really is an art to teaching new scripts/languages and you have mastered it. Thank you so much!

  • Thank you so much for appreciating.

  • dude here u r wrong...though i dnt have too much ideas about language families but i have ideas about sanskrit/hindi grammar....platu has been recogfnized by almost all sanskrit grammarians...

  • lol...hindi itni kathin hai mujhe gyaat na tha....mujhe hindi ka unnat gyan hai aur kabhi aisa pratit na hua ki hindi itni kathin ho sakti hai...but yes i belong to u.p/bihar which runs hindi

  • I am learning Hindi in class and supplement what I am learning with your lesson. They have been very very helpful for me. Thanks for taking the time to post them.

  • I had to rewind like 4 times to understand what you were saying with the first ke. "See there's no vowel after the diacritic"

I was like "How can I see something if it's not there?" lol

  • yes i agree to the last comment, i appreciate your work so much, my respect!! i do admire

  • thank you
