A W E S O M E Supertrapp!!
Love the roar. Sounds like mine did early on before a carb synch. Almost as smooth as glass now. My ZX-9r runs 9 of 12 discs for sea level & summits. MPG is up 4 - 9%, high is 54 MPG, 240m+ to the tank & faster than ever. Power trick for my carb'ed engine is to shim the jet needle 0.5mm. Nice mid-range torque boost when I want. Great to hear someone else out there who knows how to tune their bike.

Does this exhaust work without adding a power commander or does it need remapping?

No Power Commander needed. No remapping or additional fuel needed. Fuel economy remains the same. In the event you have a possible lean condition (sea level 30 degrees w/high rpm racing) just remove a plate for added backpressure and richen fuel mixture

how does the exhaust exit it looks like its being coverd and is trying to get out hence the muffled sound or is that bad vid quality?

The exhaust gets backpressure by the rear cover and exits thru the plates that are screwed togethor by the rear cover. If plates were added to double what you see in the video you would get no backpressure at all.
