Netherlands-based TBA ( http://www.tba.nl ) is a leading international provider of consultancy and software. Its product and service portfolio are concentrated around marine terminals and container terminals.

TEAMS is TBAs fleet management system that supplies customers with advanced control over their automated equipment, such as Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs), lift AGVs, automated straddle carriers, automated stacking cranes (ASCs) and ship to shore cranes.
TEAMS is used to control and direct the movements of the automated equipment used at the terminal and reach the highest possible efficiency levels. With TEAMS, TBA offers its clients a modular solution that, while it has the benefits of the scale and speed of implementation of a standardized approach, can be flexibly applied to fit the needs of a specific terminal perfectly.
TEAMS offers excellent interfaces with Terminal Operating Systems such as SPARCS or Cosmos, allowing it to become an integrated part of the terminals operations. Next to the software capabilities, TBA provides implementation, evaluation and operational assistance.

This movie shows the graphical user interface of TEAMS mixed with images from operations at the Euromax terminal, one of the terminals that use the TEAMS software. These were kindly made available to us by Enkhome ( http://exposureroom.com/members/enkhome ).

TBA is also specialized in analyzing and improving container terminal operations with use of simulation models. TBA offers emulation models that are used to test and tune Terminal Operating Systems (such as SPARCS by Navis and SPACE by Cosmos) and train operators to work with a TOS. All analysts and users gain visual insight in the result of their actions or the decisions made by the TOS in the 3D animation of the terminal.

All TBA models contain highly detailed pieces of virtual equipment that represent real terminal equipment very accurately. Our models have been validated by many experts of different terminal operators worldwide.
