If Karen Traviss worked on the series, it'd have been a lot more than just a childish stupid series! I mean look at them, the clone troops. They're man, but in those series they act like droids, they don't take much cover, and following some dumbass jetii who'll leave them and get them killed! They're just faceless men here, it's uncertain in the series that what does the man inside think about.
