http://www.sealmate.net Sealmate is the one and only tool that will instantly repair leaking fork seals! R&J Engineering has invented this tool that will fix the leaky fork seals without the cost of removing and replacing them. Motorcycle shops charge aroundt $300 to replace the seals when in fact they don't actually need to be replaced. Instead for about $5 you can buy the sealmate tool at http://www.sealmate.net to save time and money.

  • No problem here. We have repaired hundreds of leaking fork seals on "vintage" bikes.

  • I just fixed my fork seal with this method... but i'm a little concerned with the oil loss. How much oil would you need to lose for it to negatively affect your fork? what happens if the dirt got pushed into the fork?

  • @phifedig34 Sorry it took so long to respond but, if you lost a decent amount of oil you will want to make sure oil is up to the suggest manufactures level. You can find that in the user manuals. The design on Seal Mate is specifically designed so that it pulls the debris out but in the case minor debris gets into the fork it is nothing to worry about.

  • @YZ85JOEL lol

  • as soon as i put the seal mate in lots of oil started pouring out

  • @smkeryday111 Dude if you can fit a credit card up there, there's probably no oil in them at all!

  • I have one of those!! its a clear color and i like to call it a tear off !!!!!!

  • Used one of these today after seeing it on an advert, absolutely one hell of a bargain and time saver!!!. Thought I'd give it a go before taking my bike to a garage and openning the wallet, but it's done the job superbly. I followed the video instructions as above and was actually quite amazed at how much gunge came from out of the seal on the hook end of the device, my bikes 15 years old so you can guess. But thankyou very much the inventor of this, its worth every penny!

  • Well I'm back. I gotta say I'm shocked. It really worked. I pulled up the dust seal on my 85 Gold Wing, and ran the seal mate around the seal. In my case there was no grime that I could see, just black colored oil. Anyway I went out to the garage this morning and Im thrilled to say no seal replacement for me!! Thanks seal mate for the tool and great idea of cleaning a seal.

  • I should have my set today. I have one leaky fork in my 85 Gold Wing. Will let you know how it works. Cost 10.00 with shipping.

People who comment about cheaper ways or cost of materials should know the fact that they shared a way to clean a seal deserves the right to make money. Great job RJ. Hope it helps me.

  • 7c of paper, 1c of ink, 4c for packaging. $5...Fucking bargain :D

  • where do you add the oil to the forks, and how do i know how much oil was lost

  • One thing you might want to add to this video is that you want to wipe off the dust seal before sliding it back into place. If the debris got past it, it's more than likely stuck in it as well. Just a reminder so that you're not cleaning them every ride.
