I am han Chinese. I have deep sympathy toward Tibetans in exile, Tibetans in Tibet and all Chinese who do not have freedom of speech in Tibet. Let all Han Chinese and Tibetans work together to achieve a better future for a harmonious future.

I feel ashamed that so many Chinese are brainwashed and express little sympathy toward Tibetans who must have suffered tremendously simply because they have no home to return to any more.

Cut the propaganda crap. No one wants a theocracy. Democracy yes. That being said, for us Tibetans we'd rather have a theocracy if we could have our country back and we could work from that point forward, without Chinese interference, oppression, torture, murder, raping of our land, people, environment, etc. For your information a good number of exiles are simply ordinary Tibetans, in fact, many are nomads.

These outbursts of violence by the Uighers and the Tibetans are the result of tensions caused by these people feeling :

1) Their culture is being eroded by the influx of Han settlers,

2) Resentment that they are being economically and culturally marginalized in their own ancestral land,

3) Treated as second-class citizens and discriminated against by the majority Han Chinese

Of course not, Chinese public, specially students in China are completely controled by CCP. They will hear only what CCP wants them to hear.

I have been to china myself and when I tried to open an email address I could not... Everything is controled in China, while trying to discuss tibet or Taiwan with Chinese people they had no clue what so ever what I was talking about. All they were saying is that these places were nice provinces of china... the worst is that they were students...

Before the brutal chinese communist party invaded independent Tibet 60 years ago there were indentured farmers in Tibet, but NO slaves.

His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama (HHDL) called a full amnesty (which means freedom for all) before he left the jokhang temple the first time when china invaded Tibet in 1950. So HHDL freed them all.

Six million Tibetans in Tibet have no human rights now so they are really the slaves of the communist party.
