how do you get a horse to laydown and to rear i tryed when i was on my horse with the rear and she did a hop a little one and how do you get them to spanish walk i got my hors to paw at the ground both legs and with the wip

I have a gelding i wuld like to teach to rear wen i give him the command. He is taught to do it while im on his back but how do i teach him? I dont know where to start pleez help

Woah, that's cool! How do you teach those tricks? I have almost taught my pony how to bow, but i have to pick her foot up and pull it back for her. She tucks her head in when I bribe her with a carrot. How can i get her to pick up and bend her leg herself, and not use a carrot? I've just put up a video of her bowing, please check it out :) x

did you teach him to spanish walk and to rear by teaching him to first touch a target with his knees? I just bought a Belgian draft horse and i want to teach him some little tricks like that but i'm not sure where to begin.

Hi. There are many ways to teach the spanish walk. I taught him the spanish walk by teaching him to pick up a foot with a touch of the whip, not by targeting, although getting the Spanish walk through targetting is a fine way to do it. For more info on how to start the Spanish walk, just PM me!

Thanks! It takes time and a relationship with your horse. To get your horse to want to do these things at liberty, you have to let the horse be at liberty.
