i worry for my friends that live there, though i havent seen the smoke, i could smell the smell of burned wood and plastics all the way in my school, it really gave me an eerie feeling

I live near this. I listen on the news for good news, and i pray for rain. We are in a record breaking droubt, and i am worried.

It's heartbreaking to experience this devastation. I hope and pray that you, your family and critters escaped this horror, and that everyone else's family, friends and animals will as well. Too, may the wild creatures be able to flee safely.

Heartbreaking....thank God for all the dedication and lovingkindness of firefighters, especially those who have uprooted themselves from their lives to come help us. We are all so dependent upon each other, & thank God that we are. May all people & animals in the paths of these wildfires escape, but unfortunately, these lovely trees, plants & grass must simply wait to be consumed... I now have a new appreciation for the people who live in fire-prone areas and deal with such terrors routinely.
