Vanilla Fudge - Some velvet morning 1969

Original by Nacy Sinatra & Lee Hazlewood 1967

(Instrumental)

Some velvet morning when I'm straight
I'm gonna open up your gate
And maybe tell you 'bout Phaedra
and how she gave me life
and how she made it in
Some velvet morning when I'm straight

Flowers growing on the hill
Dragonflies and daffodils
Learn from us very much
Look at us but do not touch
Phaedra is my name

(Instrumental)

Some velvet morning when I'm straight
I'm gonna open up your gate
I'm gonna open up your gate
And maybe tell you 'bout Phaedra
and how she gave me life
and how she made it in

  • This songs beyond heavy screw the mellower versions.

  • This is a trippy song even in it's original form, sung by Lee Hazlewood and Nancy Sinatra. I like them both for different reasons. Thanks for the upload; great to see some live footage of VF doing this.

  • grande video storico importante grande rock progressive

  • @animascat You're one up on me! I've never heard this song on acid. I like this version, but it's been covered scores of times, some good, some bad. There are better ones than this, but the bands don't even fit into VF's category. Lee's version is my favorite, but I think acid would make others way better! Never had a bad trip. I've not done it in 30 years. Fu**, I'm gettin' old. Peace out, man.

  • ancora bellissima, emozionante

    e allora avevo 14 anni...

  • :-) a 15 anni mi piaceva molto questa canzone!

  • Lee Hazlewood did it waaay better.Sorry,all.

  • Song never gets old. Thanks for posting.

  • @dillinger9999 Mom had Xavier Cugat, José Jiménez and Frank Sinatra on the record player back then, Not Vanilla Fudge or even The Beatles.
