Got the FireDome in summer 2007. One of the first things I did was make it road worthi(ish) and take it to Alameda to Seafoam it. Then I let Lori drive it.

  • yeah I was wrong, I thought I was special and had a rare one with a 276! Mine is a four door, and far from the condition of this one, but it runs and drives!

  • @TheTrueblackmetal666 THAT thing HAS a HEMI.

  • @leviwon79 the FIREDOME was ALWAYS a V-8 .The DeSoto POWERMASTER WAS THE 6 cylinder model .It was called the FireDome due to it's dome- shaped combustion chambers. Dome=Hemi .

In 1953, while the Ford V-8 put out only 110 HP, The DeSoto FireDome Hemi V-8 put out 160 HP !!!

For those too young to know or remember, DeSoto was a now discontinued Chrysler Corporation make - 1928-1961

  • that is a 1953 Desoto Firedome 2 door. Probably a flat head 6

  • Now that's a horn!
